Redondo Beach, CA January 19, 2004 -- Due to the success of their first Low Carb Academy, Carb Cops Low Carb Superstore announces another free class on February 4, 2004 from 7pm to 8:30pm at their store in Redondo Beach.

Since 1997, 4 of the top 5-diet/health books sold in America have focused on the benefits of reducing your carb intake for weight loss and improved health. One book in particular, "Dr. Atkins New Diet Revolution", initially published in 1992, still sells at a rate that rivals Harry Potter. In the last two years, health media has taken a more favorable view towards carbohydrate reduction, as more scientific studies are released validating the effectiveness of this nutritional approach. Entertainment media, like People Magazine, consistently cover the hottest diets of the stars. In the last two years, more and more of these diets are low carb.

In addition to consumers seeking effective methods of weight loss, an ever-increasing number of medical patients are discovering that in order to maintain their health, they must maintain a sugar-free, low-carb diet the rest of their lives. Some of these patients are: Bariatric patients, women with Polycystic Ovarian Syndrome, people suffering from Fibromyalgia, Multiple Sclerosis, Addison 's disease, Epilepsy, Candida, obesity, depression and other health issues.

Williams adds, "The low carb/sugar-free market is increasing with overall poor health, the sharp rise in diabetes, and increasing obesity due to misinformed consumers."

Carb Cops will conduct it's second free "Low Carb Academy" on February 4, 2004 from 7pm to 8:30pm to better educate consumers on the advantages of choosing a low carb/sugar-free lifestyle. They also offer free weigh-ins and body fat analysis.

"I had been exercising for almost 7 months but didn't experience a significant weight loss until I went low carb, dropping 30 pounds in about six weeks and have been able to keep it off for over a year." adds Williams, "Over the first year that I was on a low carb diet, I experienced a drop in my cholesterol and an increase in my bone density."

Carb Cops Low Carb Superstore is located at 2739 Manhattan Beach Blvd., on the northwest corner of Manhattan Beach Blvd. and Inglewood Ave. in the Drug Emporium shopping center. The store is just 1/4 mile from the 405 Freeway entrance on Inglewood Avenue. Carb Cops can be reached at (310) 297-9292 and their web site address is www.CarbCops.com.
